Second generation professional mariner. Grew up on the water. Began sailing at age 15 on a tall ship. Owned and operated all sizes of recreational boats. Professionally captained Cruise ships up to 650 passengers, Heavy-lift ships to 800tons, & Container ships up to just under 1000’. Limited master 36 years, unlimited master 15years. Naval Reserve Officer 9 yrs. I love the water. Previously I also volunteered at the Columbia Sailing Club during Summer camps for 8 years to teach kids ages 6-16 water safety and basics of sailing. I offer the services of this site while on vacation from captaining a large container ship in the Middle East. I also offer boat handling instruction/lessons for new owners in the Northeast area of Florida.
