As a private Yacht owner for 15 of my 45 years on the water I fully understand whait is expected of a Captain and his crew and the safety and responsibilities that these positions demand. I am educated, well spoken, and have a personality that will get along with everyone. I am a critical thinker in the most demanding of times and I have a complete understanding and working knowledge of all shipboard systems. I am well qualified and experienced in short term, annual, and total and complete re-fit yard maintenance periods and also I am an experienced and knowledgeable Engineer. I am trained and certified in CPR, Advanced First Aid, STCW 95, Bridge Resource management and crew placement. I am experienced in Charter management shore based and underway. I also have a current OOW and Advanced Radar Unlimited certifications. I am familiar and experienced with Westport, Hargrave, Soveregin, Broward, Hatteras, Burger, Expedition, Sunseeker, Lazzara, Azimut, and Sea Ray yachts. I am a quick study on all other makes. I have extensive Big Boat experience ( 300’ plus) as Captain of the Queen of the Mississippi & American Eagle sailing from New Orleans to Memphis weekly with 150 passengers and a deck crew of 45 and housekeeping staff of 75 and also the Queen of the West sailing on the Columbia and Snake rivers in the Pacific northwest. I am an excellent keeper of Logs, and detailed accounting for both private and Charter. I have over 100,000 nautical miles in the waters of the US East Coast, Atlantic Ocean, ICW, Gulf of Mexico, Bahamas, & Caribbean and the Western Rivers, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Ohio and the Pacific northwest on the Columbia and Snake rivers on Yachts and ships up to 305’ without an accident. I am a seasoned, experienced professional. AGE = Experience, knowledge, & Maturity. I am well qualified to manage, crew And maintain your Yacht for Private use or with light or heavy Charter use.
